This paper analyses the economy of energy storage of the central air conditioning refrigeration system in commercial buildings. Firstly, the operating principles of three energy storage methods for the refrigeration system, namely water cool storage, ice cool storage, and lithium battery energy storage, are presented. Secondly, the cooling load model and the economic analysis model for the three energy storage schemes adopted by the air conditioning refrigeration system are established. Finally, through an example calculation, the results of the proposed three energy storage schemes are compared and analysed with the conventional refrigeration scheme. The results show that for this example calculation, the total life cycle cost of the water cool storage scheme for the central air conditioning refrigeration system of commercial buildings is the lowest among the three energy storage schemes, followed by lithium battery energy storage, and ice cool storage is the highest. The economic comparison method of multiple energy storage schemes for air conditioning refrigeration systems proposed in this paper can provide a reference for commercial buildings to select an economic and reasonable energy storage scheme according to the local electricity price policy and project characteristics.
